Day 1. Arrive Sydney.
Be met on arrival and be transferred to your hotel. Explore this stunning city on a half-day sightseeing coach tour this afternoon, soaking up the world-renowned landmarks, including the Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge. Enjoy fantastic views during a dinner cruise on Sydney Harbour tonight.

Day 2. Sydney, Gold Coast.
Transfer to the airport and fly to the Gold Coast, famous for its uninterrupted coastline. After settling in to your hotel located within the heart of the city, perhaps stroll along the famous soft golden sands of the popular Surfers Paradise Beach.

Day 3. Gold Coast.
Today you have a full day to explore the Gold Coast at your leisure. Perhaps grab a board and learn to surf, explore the culinary scene at one of the restaurants along the waterfront or head into the hinterland for a day amidst the subtropical wilderness.  B

Day 4. Gold Coast, Noosa.
Head north to the Sunshine Coast and visit the world-renowned Australia Zoo, made famous by the late Crocodile Hunter, Steve Irwin. Here you will be given the opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of wildlife conservation and see many native Australian species up close. Continue to the chic resort town of Noosa where you’ll enjoy dinner with your fellow travellers tonight.

Day 5. Noosa, Fraser Island.
After some time in Noosa, travel to Hervey Bay and join your cruise transfer to the world’s largest sand island, World Heritage listed Fraser Island. Here, settle in to your room at Kingfisher Bay Resort. This evening, enjoy dinner at your resort.

Day 6. Fraser Island.
Discover Fraser Island today with a half-day tour and some time at leisure this afternoon. Slip into island living and perhaps explore the hundreds of fantastic walking trails that criss-cross the island. Immerse yourself in the ancient rainforests or explore the coloured sand cliffs on Seventy-Five Mile Beach. Perhaps visit the wreck of the Maheno, a trans-Tasman liner that was driven ashore during a cyclone in 1935. B

Day 7. Fraser Island, Hervey Bay, Rockhampton.
A morning ferry takes you across spectacular Hervey Bay, where you will discover why this special place is often referred to as the jewel in Queensland’s crown. The journey concludes back on the mainland where you will rejoin your coach to continue north. Travel through sugarcane country, crossing some of the many narrow-gauge railway lines that transport sugarcane from the field to processing plants in town, an iconic sight of rural Queensland. Later, arrive in the inland city of Rockhampton, known as the beef capital of Australia, where you will enjoy dinner this evening.

Day 8. Rockhampton, Daydream Island.
Explore the charming historical town of Rockhampton, known as the gateway to the coast. Then, travel to Airlie Beach and enjoy one of the region’s most beautiful beaches. Here you will join a ferry through the sparkling Whitsundays and realise your dreams of a tropical island paradise as you arrive at picturesque Daydream Island Resort and Spa.

Day 9. Daydream Island.
Do as little or as much as you like with the day at leisure. Perhaps snorkel off the beach or take stroll through the tropical jungle to the highest point of the island (own expense). B

Day 10. Daydream Island,
Townsville, Mission Beach. Take an early morning ferry transfer to the Port of Airlie, where you will re-board your coach and travel to Townsville for a tour of the city. Continue to Mission Beach, the destination where two of the most stunning World Heritage-listed areas meet; the Wet Tropics Rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef. Arrive at your haven, Castaways Resort & Spa.

Day 11. Mission Beach, Atherton Tablelands, Cairns.
Discover the lush Atherton Tablelands. This region is part of the Waterfalls Circuit, including magnificent Millaa Millaa Falls, known to be some of the most photographed falls in Australia. As you journey towards Cairns, you will visit the Curtain Fig Tree, an iconic natural Australian icon. Board the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway in Kuranda and ride above the treetops to Caravonica Lakes. Arriving in Cairns this afternoon, you will enjoy mountain views from your spacious room at the Pullman Cairns International.

Day 12. Cairns, Great Barrier Reef.
Cruise from Cairns by fast catamaran to Reef Magic’s exclusive activity platform on the Great Barrier Reef and enjoy five hours amid the colourful coral and marine life. Enjoy the unique chance to snorkel in the sheltered coral lagoon; walk through the underwater observatory; learn about the delicate ecosystem and view the reef during a tour on the semi-submersible or glass bottom boat; or relax on the sun deck of your ship. This is one of the most perfect destinations on the Great Barrier Reef for viewing the unique and vibrant species of coral and fish that call the reef home. Enjoy a special Farewell Dinner at Tjapukai By Night this evening in Cairns. During this Aboriginal cultural dinner and performance you will discover the spiritual concept known as the Dreamtime, take an interactive part in a corroboree, then be guided along a flame-lit pathway to a dinner of delicious local produce. Day 13. Port Douglas, Depart Cairns.
Drive to the pretty coastal township of Port Douglas for a guided tour. This patch of tropical paradise is the meeting point of the World Heritage-listed Daintree Rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef. After some time here to relax and enjoy the tranquil surrounds, return to Cairns and transfer to the airport. B
