Depart with British Airways from Toronto to Cape Town with one stop in London Heathrow.

Day 3 | March 9

Cape Town, South Africa
On arrival in Cape Town, you are met by our “VIP” representative, who will assist you with immigration formalities, help you collect your luggage and through to the arrivals hall. You will be escorted to your waiting vehicle and transferred to your reserved hotel. After checking in and freshening up, meet in the lobby for a welcome cocktail, followed by a light dinner. Day 4 | March 10

Cape Town, South Africa
This morning meet your private guide in the hotel lobby for excursion to Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for 18 years.This historic landmark and UNESCO site pays tribute to the triumph of freedom, dignity and determination over humiliation and oppression. Today’s tour continues with an orientation of the ‘Mother City’. Marvel at the vibrant colors of the quaint Bo-Kaap homes in the Malay Quarter. Return to the hotel and enjoy the balance of the afternoon at leisure. This evening, you will be transferred to GOLD restaurant. Feel the heartbeat of Africa, as you embark on a taste safari from Cape Town to Timbuktu. At the end of the evening you are returned to your hotel. Twelve Apostles Hotel (B,D)

Day 5 | March 11

Cape Town
This morning meet your guide in the hotel lobby for your full day excursion to the Cape Peninsula. The day begins with a cable car ride up to the summit of the legendary Table Mountain, where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the city. After descending the mountain, continue along the pristine coastline of the “The Fairest Cape.” Hug the cliffs as you snake along legendary Chapman’s Peak Drive to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve. You will have the opportunity to ride the Flying Dutchman funicular to the old lighthouse for awe-inspiring views! After lunch, continue along the coast to the lively penguin colony at Boulders Beach. Then head back to the city via the naval village of Simon’s Town. Day 6 | March 12

Cape Town
Meet your private guide in the hotel lobby and transfer to the beautiful Franschhoek winelands. Here breath-taking scenery, warm hospitality, world class cuisine and the finest wines all combine to create lasting memories. On today’s excursion you will learn all about the process of winemaking, from grape to goblet. Discover wine farms and estates dating back 300 years to the French Huguenots, each with their own story to tell. Enjoy olive oil and wine tastings, Cap Classiques (sparkling wines) hand-crafted with passion, honoring the traditional ways of the French “Methode Champenoise.” Stroll through the charming village, and enjoy lunch on a wine farm surrounded by old oak trees. Day 7 | March 13

Cape Town to Private Game Reserve
Following breakfast, you will be transferred by private vehicle to the airport where you will be met and assisted with check in for your scheduled flight bound for Hoedspruit. You will be met on arrival by your Kapama rangers and driven to your safari accommodations. Kapama Private Game Reserve is an African Eden, covering thousands of acres of big game territory. The reserve is home to variety of animals, including the iconic Big Five, with vast herds of buffalo, elephant and antelope amid plentiful predators and an abundance of bird life. After a quick freshen up, meet for high tea and set off on your first game drive. Remember to take: A light sweater, insect repellent, your camera and binoculars! Day 8 & 9 | March 14 & 15

Kapama Private Game Reserve
Accompanied by highly skilled game rangers, set out on early morning and evening game drives to see the Big Five and a large variety of smaller wildlife. The rangers provide interesting information and anecdotes about the inhabitants of the bush. Between exciting safaris, spend the time at camp relishing the tranquility of the bush. Relax at the pool, indulge in a decadent spa treatment or go on a “behind the scenes” visit to the Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre (additional charge). Founded by Lente Roode, the Hoedspruit Centre for Endangered Species has established itself as one of the leading private research and breeding facilities for endangered species in the country. Kapama Private Game Reserve to Johannesburg
An early morning wake-up call and out into the bush on the morning safari in search of animals not seen the day before. Return to camp for a hearty breakfast, and then relax until time to transfer to Hoedspruit airport for your flight to Johannesburg.The remainder of the day is at leisure for independent activities. Johannesburg is one of the world’s most cosmopolitan cities, an interesting meltingpot. There is something for everyone, from world class shopping centers, like Hyde Park, Sandton, Rosebank and Melrose Arch, to exclusive boutiques, outstanding eateries and vibrant pavement cafes.Da Vinci Hotel (B)

Johannesburg to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe
Following breakfast, you will be transferred to Johannesburg International Airport, where you will be met and assisted with check in for your scheduled flight to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. Upon entry you will require a Visa - US$75 payable in exact cash. After clearing Zimbabwe immigration formalities, exit into the arrivals hall, where you will be met by a Victoria Falls River Lodge representative and transferred to the lodge. Day 12 | March 18

Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe
Enjoy a day filled with the varied land and water experiences on offer at your lodge, or simply relax on your deck and observe nature unfold on the river. Join an early morning cruise and watch the world awaken as the sun’s first ray’s skip and dance across the shimmering surface of the mighty Zambezi. After breakfast enjoy a guided walking tour of Victoria Falls, one of seven Natural Wonders of the World. You’ll understand it instantly as you tour the Zimbabwean side, observing the many spectacular vantage points along the width of the falls. This astounding gift of nature simply takes your breath away. In the evening sit back and let the gentle ebb and flow of the Zambezi lull and relax you.
